Hi.

A Life Full Of Passion

A Life Full Of Passion

Tomorrow we are celebrating the one-year anniversary of my blog!

It’s hard to believe that exactly one year ago, I decided to sit down behind my laptop and create this personal blog. I had no idea how it was going to turn out. I didn’t know if it was going to reach many people or make a difference. All I knew is that I had a passion to write my heart out and to share my story.

I had assumed that if my blog was going to reach people, it would attract young women similar to myself. But the more posts I wrote, the more other audiences began to share with me how they had been reading my blog. Both males and females of all ages began reaching out to me, informing me that they had found encouragement through my story. Needless to say, I began to get curious as to just how far my blog had reached. I was humbled and extremely blown away after pulling up the analytics from my site to find that my blog had gone international. From the United Kingdom to Ireland, to Germany, to Russia, to the Philippines, and several others. I am in awe of the fact that somehow, somewhere in another country, someone stumbled upon my blog.

Now I don’t share all of this to brag, but to show those of you who have supported my blog and been my loyal readers, the impact of your support. You have encouraged me to keep writing, and my words are reaching more and more people. With your continual support, I can’t wait to see where my blog will be in another year from now.

However, I am not just celebrating my blog’s anniversary, I am also celebrating the beginning of a life full of passion. When I wrote my first blog post last year, I took my first step in pursuing something that I am passionate about. My blog and writing turned into more than just a hobby. Before I knew it, my personal writing turned into creative freelance writing, and my art turned into an actual small business. All it took was one small step in the right direction. How do you know if it’s the right direction? If it’s toward something that you’re passionate about, then it’s the right direction.

Now I’m sitting here a year later, and somehow not only managed to start a small business but also create my own brand. All it took was one small step. I have found the most joy in life by pursuing things that I am passionate about. And here’s the thing, my brand doesn’t provide a steady income. I still have to work another job to afford the bills. But because I’ve made time for my passions, I am more content. There’s a miserableness that comes from not taking that small step in the right direction towards the things you’re passionate about.

2020 is right around the corner, and this really could be your year to make a change. I don’t know where you are in life, but I can tell you right now that if you’re miserable, you can change that. Take the step! Are you passionate about photography? Get yourself a $300 Craig’s List camera like Jenna Kutcher and put it to good use. Are you passionate about investing? Start taking a budget seriously and set aside money to invest in whatever it is you want to invest in. Are you passionate about clothes or makeup? Start a vlog! Share your tips, styles, and secrets with others. Are you passionate about dogs? Create flyers for your neighborhood and begin a dog walking business. Whatever it is, no matter how small it is, find something that you’re passionate about and take a step in that direction.

Maybe you’ve thought about it before, but you’ve just been putting it off until later. Right now you might be saying, “well I’ll be miserable and work hard now so that I can enjoy later.” The reality is that none of us are guaranteed a “later”. Your life is happening right now—your life doesn’t happen later. So start pursuing the things you’re passionate about now.

When your passion and purpose are greater than your fears and excuses, you will find a way to take that step; that one small step into a life full of passion.

You know I love you all.

Sincerely,

Adrienne
